CG Fry & Morris Builders - Poundbury Village Duchy of Cornwall
This architecturally acclaimed development was the brainchild of Prince Charles, his pioneering vision for urban development is not expected to be completed until 2025, by which time it will have provided an additional 5,000 homes and 2,000 jobs in factories, offices and general facilities across the site near Dorset's county town of Dorchester.
Integral to the master plan is the provision of state of the art, digital services to all residents of Poundbury. The Prince is acutely aware of the advantages of including such technology and the role that this will play for future generations.
To comply with stringent planning regulations and to maintain the aesthetic appearance of the site, Telstar devised a plan that enabled all cabling and aerial installations to be discreetly installed and even placed underground.
Working closely with the lead contractors, Telstar was able to design and install a flexible infrastructure which accommodates both the existing and future digital requirements for this dynamic 40 hectare site.
Telstar's exclusive contract to supply Poundbury with multi-dwelling IRS systems and individual domestic digital packages is on-going with the latest phases of the development nearing completion.
Telstar also provides a comprehensive maintenance programme and service agreement which gives residents a 24 hour, 7 day a week help line and the managing agents peace of mind.
